We are so glad you found us!
We hope to be a great fit for your family.
Finding the absolute, most perfect, and amazing school for your child is simple right? Ha! Who knew there were so many options? We get it. We know how tough it can be for families and we’d like to make it a little easier for you. Guess what? In all likelihood your child is going to succeed and grow up to be a productive member of society… but let’s take it down a notch and focus on your child, who only came out of the womb about 3 years ago. Literally, they pretty much just came into this world. They’re learning how to be a person. Okay yes, kindergarten and first grade will be here soon enough and we will be there to prepare them when the school system is ready to rock their world. But for right now, we want you, and most importantly, your child, to enjoy it. New Thought Montessori is a place to have fun, get dirty, make friends, and memories. So let’s take a deep breath and get ready for your child to spread their wings. Your child will end up exactly where they are supposed to be, promise. For now, we hope you fall in love with how we do things!
New Thought teaches with the Montessori philosophy while fostering more play-base and experimental learning. We believe most learning objectives are accomplished through play and by doing. We strongly support learning through exploring and spending ample amount of time in nature, culture, gardening, science, art, tinkering, music, and movement. Our outdoor and indoor environment allows us to support a holistic, organic, and nature base program. We have created a calming, nurturing, and comfortable homelike environment which allows us to support our young children and diverse community. Our staff is trained in Positive/Conscious Discipline methods and Montessori Certification which are used to guide our children and families. Through the years of working in traditional Montessori classrooms and administrative positions, New Thought Montessori has developed an innovative and exciting idea that will merge traditional Montessori curriculum with a new and relevant learning environment. We provide small, mixed aged classrooms that generate a family of learners who support and care for one another. Older children have the opportunity to serve as mentors and take leadership roles, and young children love and crave these positive interactions. New Thought Montessori helps to prepare children for the future, allows more one on one time, encourages positive relationships with all teachers in the school, and meets the needs of todays child. Most importantly, we encourage and provide plenty of outside time with activities connecting children to nature, which has been lost in the current school systems.
We have three small groups of
ten children in each, maximum.
The children get to visit three rooms
daily that include the following:
room one: practical life, art, & science
room two: language, writing, & cultural
room three: sensory, building, & math
